Barista Hot Take: LOCAL's Barista Champ

Earlier this year, our very own Skyla competed at the SCA’s UK Barista Championships in Edinburgh and learnt a thing or two about this crazy and exclusive world along the way.

So many of you had questions about what a Barista Championship even involved and we think that the world of competition coffee shouldn’t be reserved for the elite of the coffee world. So now she’s gotten over the trauma, Skyla is showcasing her full routine including serving three courses of competition coffee for you to taste and experience like a judge.

We hope you’ll gain an insight into the preparation involved and learn about the process of buying, roasting and brewing competition level coffee.

Each ticket includes 3 courses of competition coffee from Skyla’s barista championships routine as well as a 100g bag of Artuto Arango’s Colombian Yirgacheffe roasted in collaboration with Northside Coffee.
